"Work in Progress" -- first signs of life for new album
Over the past few weeks, I have started to build up some inspiration and ideas for what will eventually be my next solo album!
I'm really quite excited about it. For a long time now, I have been working with other people, working on my music licensing business, working on various side projects and actually, well, watching TV!
But now something in me has begun to stir up some new music. I decided to just let things start to take shape naturally, and it seems to me that the album is going in the general direction of my other melodic sci-fi synth rock albums, i.e. like "The Void", "Dreamstate", "Colony" and "Beneath Another Sky".
So far I have composed the framework for two different tracks. They are not finished yet, but below are a couple of sneak preview tasters! Yesterday I was in a pro recording studio with a drummer and we recorded live acoustic drums for one of the tracks; tentatively titled "Temp-6"
Both tracks written so far tick in at about 6 minutes. Below are about a minute-and-a-half clips from the beginning of each track. The one called "Temp 6" has acoustic drums; the one called "Arpeg 2" has programmed drums for now.
I really need great sounding Song Titles for these two tracks, so if you have any suggestions for track names, please use the "Comment" function on this blog to make your suggestions!
MP3 preview: Temp 6
MP3 preview: Arpeg 2
I might put up one of these tracks in full-length version a little later on, when one of them is actually finished. :)

Fantastic! That's great news! I quite liked both tracks but more so the second one.
Titles? For the first how about "Hidden Planet", and for the second "Space Dust".

I think Temp 6 could go by "revelation," of "the revelation," especially if it continues to build from where the sample ends.
Arpeg2 could go by "Operative Force" or "Progressive Force." It feels like something is slowly being built and put into motion.
I remember coming on your site awhile back, and I put Worms 3d in the other day, and I remembered how awesome your music is. I wanted to check out some of your new stuff, and these samples are fantastic.
Very nice.
For Temp6, I would suggest a title of "Docking Bay" and for Arpeg2, I would suggest "Communicator".
Great work Bjorn! Both songs are great. I reckon the first song should be called "Forbidden Paradise" and the seoncd one "Starless Skies."
Nice tracks...
The titles may be: "reminiscences of sand" for the first one and "Across the Milky Way" for the second...
Keep up the good work, Bjorn!

Great samples as ever, for Arpeg2 I would suggest "Forever Inspiration" and for Temp6 "Move in Time"
Looking forward to the completed tracks / album.
That's fantastic news. I've been listening to your music a lot more of late, it really helped get me through Finals week, as is usually the case, and it's fantastic to hear that you'll be working on a new album. I can't wait to hear what it sounds like when it's finished.
Both of those tracks were fantastic. The first track had an amazing beat to it, very smooth and bouncy, at the same time. I would think something along the lines of Beacons, or Running Lights.
The second I could see being called Solar Wind, or Stabilizer.
I've never been great at coming up with names.
Anyways, excellent work, and I can't wait to hear more!
I love them both, awesome work. I have a few ideas that you could play with.

- The World in my Mind
- Dancing Souls
Mp3 preview: Arpeg
- A Journey Within
- Awesome Exploration
- My Inner Journey
- The Inner Journey
- The Explorer of Within
I am now starting to think "Under Starlit Skies" or "Solar Twilight" for "Arpeg 2." I am still happy with "Forbidden Paradise" for Temp 6 though.
Looking foward to hearing the full versions.
